What is a Certified Lactation Counselor and what kind of support do they provide?
A Certified Lactation Counselor, or CLC, has been certified by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. They offer prenatal breastfeeding education and preparation as well as postpartum breastfeeding support.

Individual breastfeeding consultations may be scheduled at any time during your pregnancy. If you have Harvard Pilgrim, Oxford Health, ChampVA and MaineCare for insurance please let us know when you schedule your appointment, these insurance types may not cover these prenatal counseling services.
If you have an appointment scheduled please feel free to bring your partner, breast pump and any breastfeeding supplies you may need or have questions about using.
